Helicopter hoist training manual

 · The objectives for this manual are to define and instruct hoist rescue techniques to maintain a safe and efficient hoist rescue program that includes ground school, technical ground school and actual flight training. This document describes programs of Initial or Conversion to Type (CTT) onshore hoist operations training courses for HHO. The Initial training course aims at delivering the mission capability. We refer to the Conversion to Type course when trainees are already mission capable on another type of helicopter and need to be trained on a new helicopter for the onshore hoist mission. This is the second edition of the Transport Canada Helicopter Flight Training Manual. The Manual has been prepared for the use of student pilots learning to fly, pilots improving their qualifications, and flight instructors in the conduct of instruction for student pilots.

DESCRIPTION: Far from the standard Hoist operations prevalent in most military and para-public helicopter operations today, Air Rescue Systems teaches “Precision Hoisting” the true art of total aircraft and load control at all times. These challenging hoist operations require skilled, technically proficient teams. A “blunt instrument” attitude to these operations is a dangerous.
